BALTIMORE- The Coppin State men's basketball team will finish it's two game west coast road trip with a matchup against the University of California Saturday evening December 19 in Haas Pavilion.

Coppin State (2-9) is coming off a 93-96-overtime setback to the University of San Francisco.

Terry Harris Jr., leads the Eagles with 13.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Harris Jr., ripped the nets for a career high 27 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field against USF. He has two games with 20 or more points this season. He added three rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Christian Kessee is pouring in 11.3 points per contest. Kessee leads Coppin State with 19 made 3-pointers and has made at least two three pointers in seven games this season.

Kessee finished with 12 points, four assists, three rebounds and one steal in 42 minutes of action against USF.

Trevon Seymore leads Coppin State with 33 assists (3.3 apg) and 13 steals (1.3 spg). Seymore is adding 8.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest. He is shooting 81.3% from the free throw line.

Seymore put 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals in a team high 43 minutes in the loss to the Dons.

James Sylvester and
Joshua Treadwell have continued their strong play and instant offense off the bench.

Sylvester is averaging 11.1 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Eagles. He is second on the team in 3-pointers made with 14. Sylvester is shooting an impressive 48.3% accuracy from 3-point range.

Sylvester tied a career high with 18 points, including 3-of-4 from 3-point land, and three rebounds Friday night against USF.

Joshua Treadwell is averaging 9.8 points and 3.1 rebounds. Treadwell scored 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field and three rebounds. He went 4-of-4 from the free throw line and is hitting 82.9% on the season.

Sylvester and Treadwell helped the Eagles' bench outscore the Don's bench, 35-18.

Coppin State led at halftime for the second time this season.

The Eagles made a season high 11 3-pointers on 52.4% accuracy and a season high 86.7% from the free throw line.

The University of California is 3-0 all time against Coppin State, with the last win coming on Nov. 8, 2013 in Haas Pavilion, 83-64.

The Bears (8-2) have won four consecutive game led by Tyrone Wallace 17.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game average. Ivan Rabb is adding 12.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.

Coppin State will return home, to the PEC Arena, Monday night December 21 for a matchup against Eastern Michigan for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff. It will be Community Night; admission is $5 for the Eagles final home contest before the New Year.
