BALTIMORE- The Coppin State men's basketball team is headed on the road for a two-game west coast road trip. Up first for the Eagles is a matchup against the University of San Francisco Dons on Friday December 18 at the War Memorial at The Sobrato Center. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m. PT.
This is the first game in the series history for both programs.
Coppin State (2-8) dropped a decision to Fordham in its last outing 55-92.
The Eagles have three players averaging double figures on the season.
Terry Harris Jr., leads Coppin State in scoring (11.9) and rebounds (7.4). He is tied for 15th nationally with five double doubles, including four straight to begin the season. Harris Jr., is also tied for fifth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in rebounding.
Amongst the Eagles, Harris is tied for the team lead with six blocks.
Junior guard
Christian Kessee is scoring at an 11.2 point per game clip. Kessee leads Coppin with 17 made 3-ponters. He is averaging almost two made 3-Point FG's per game (1.7). He leads the Eagles with 27.9 minutes played per game.
James Sylvester has started two consecutive games for Coppin State and is chipping in 10.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Sylvester is tied for fourth in the MEAC with Harris Jr., in offensive rebounding at 2.7 per game. He is also fourth in the MEAC in 3-Point FG percentage at (44.0%).
Sylvester is second on the team with 11 made 3-pointers.

Freshman guard
Lucian Brownlee scored a career high 11 points and three rebounds in the setback to Fordham. He earned MEAC weekly honors for his performance against the Rams. Brownlee has played in all ten games and is averaging 5.5 points so far this season.
Meanwhile, the University of San Francisco (5-4) is coming off an 11 day break, with its last game coming in a winning effort over California State University, Northridge.
Devin Watson's 18.6 points and 5.1 assists per game leads the Dons. Tim Derksen is adding 14.7 points and 5.9 rebounds.
Coppin State will finish its west coast road trip with a game against the University of California on Saturday December 19 with a 4:00 p.m. (PT) tipoff at Haas Pavilion.
