Eagles looking to strike down Fordham

BALTIMORE- Playing its second of four consecutive road games, the Coppin State men's basketball team will head to the Bronx, N.Y. to square off against the Fordham Rams on Sunday December 13 at 1:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Gym.
 
Coppin State (2-7 overall) is coming off a 58-83 setback to Kansas State on Wednesday night.
 
Three Coppin State players are averaging double figures this season.
 
Terry Harris, Jr., leads the Eagles in scoring and rebounding. He is putting in 12.6 points and grabbing 7.9 rebounds per contest. Harris Jr is fourth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in rebounding. He leads Coppin State with five double doubles and six double-digit scoring games this season.
 
Junior guard Christian Kessee scoring at an 11.6 point per game clip. Kessee has made two or more 3-pointers in six games this year and lead the Eagles with 16 made 3-point field goals. He is leading Coppin State with 28.6 minutes per game.
 
The Eagles have made a 3-point field goal in 168 consecutive games.
 
James Sylvester is leading the Coppin State bench with 10.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest. Sylvester is sixth in the MEAC in 3-point field goal percentage (43.5%). He is also tied for second in the MEAC with Harris, Jr., in offensive rebounds (2.9). Sylvester tied a season high with five offensive rebounds against Kansas State.
 
Coppin State is second in the MEAC in offensive rebounding (15.3 rpg) and fourth in the MEAC in overall rebounding (38.2 rpg).
 
Trevon Seymore is in the top ten in the MEAC in assists (3.5), steals (1.3) and assists to turnover ratio (1.4). Seymore is averaging 7.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals. He leads Coppin State in assists and steals.
 
Keith Shivers is averaging 12 points, 4.3 rebounds and three assists in the Eagles last three contests. He has four double figure scoring games over that stretch, including a career high 17 points against Akron. He is tied for second on Eagles in steals and minutes per game.
 
Joshua Treadwell has been strong contributor off the bench. Treadwell is averaging 9.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in 19 minutes per game. He has five double-digit scoring games this season. He is eighth in the MEAC in free throw percentage shooting 82.8% accuracy.
 
Coppin State is fifth in the MEAC in scoring offense at 72.6 points per game.
 
Meanwhile, the Fordham Rams (7-1) are on a current seven game streak.
 
Mandell Thomas leads the Rams with 17.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists. Ryan Rhoomes is adding 14.5 points and 7.4 rebounds for Fordham. 
 
The Eagles will complete its four game road trip when Coppin State travels to the west coast for a two game tilt against the University of California and San Francisco University on Friday and Saturday December 18-19.
