Victoria Johnson was hired as an assistant coach with the Coppin State volleyball team in July 2025 and is in her first season with the Eagles.
A local product, Johnson has coached with the Maryland Juniors Volleyball Club for the last 12 years, starting her coaching career following her playing days at Howard CC. Johnson later assisted with the Dragons for three seasons, highlighted by a 2017 Region XX Championship, and St. Vincent Pallotti High School.
With Maryland Juniors, Johnson has also served as the club’s social media manager and recruiting coordinator. Over the last two years, she led her 17-year old teams to a 35th place finish at the AAU Volleyball Nationals, 16th at the 2024 Northeast Qualifier and a Silver Bracket Championship at the 2024 East Coast Championships.
Johnson’s 15-year old squads took first at the 2023 AAU Pennsylvania State Championships and West Virginia Grand Prix, and second at the 2023 National Harbor Showdown.
One of the top players in HCC history, Johnson was a two-time All-MDJUCO and Region XX All-Tournament Team selection. Johnson led the league in blocks during her freshman season and was named to the NJCAA All-National Tournament Team.
