Pat Dayton is in his first year as an assistant coach with the Coppin State volleyball team in 2019.
Before coming to Coppin, Dayton was the head volleyball coach at Mount de Sales Academy in Catonsville, Md., where he led the Sailors to a 2018 IAAM A Conference Championship. The Sailors finished the season ranked #2 in the Baltimore Sun Volleyball Poll.
Prior to working at Mount de Sales, Dayton was an assistant coach for two seasons at St. Paul’s School for Girls in Brooklandville where the Gators finished the 2016 regular season with an undefeated record. The team also earned IAAM A Conference Runner Ups in 2016 and 2017.
Dayton has also been a head coach for the Baltimore Elite Volleyball Club and has coached various age groups the last four seasons. While serving as a head coach, Dayton also is a summer clinic instructor as well as a CHRVA Board of Directors Member.
A 2011 graduate of West Virginia University, Dayton was a four-year starting libero and 2010 Club All-American. Dayton received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Cum Laude distinction. He currently resides in Owings Mills, MD with his wife, Abby.
