Alex Digirolamo

Alex Digirolamo is in his second season on staff with the Coppin State volleyball team, his first as a full-time assistant in 2024.

Digirolamo joined the Eagles in 2023, specializing in the offensive aspect of the game and played a key role in assisting Coppin to its first-ever MEAC Championship and NCAA Tournament bid. That season, Coppin also set program-records for victories, hitting percentage and kills per set.

A graduate of Salisbury University, Digirolamo served as President and Captain for the Men’s Collegiate Club Volleyball Team from 2018-21 where the Sea Gulls ranked in the top 20 and made their first-ever National Tournament in 2019.  He also served as a student assistant for the NCAA Division III women’s volleyball team.

Upon graduation with a degree in Finance in 2021, Digirolamo served as head coach with the Annapolis Volleyball Club boys youth national program, taking his passion and knowledge for the game back to where it all started from him. The following year, he was the head junior varsity coach at St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis, leading the girls to a 12-4 record.
