Prior to Coppin State: Last season at Chaffey College, he scored in double figures 15 times with a high game of 29 points against No. 1 seed Mt. San Antonio College. In that high profile game, Murinda was 8-16 from the field, 4-7 from the three, 9-10 from the line and had eight rebounds. He is a very long, athletic confident scorer. At 6’7, it is near impossible to alter his three point shot, and his athleticism gets him to the rack easily. His game translates well to the D1 level
