2018 (Senior): MEAC All-Tournament Team… Started in 37 of the 38 games he appeared in, primarily in left field and in the leadoff spot of the order… Hit .308 with a team-high 35 runs scored to go with five doubles and 21 RBI… Drew 25 walks which helped accumulate a .425 on-base percentage… Among the Nation’s leaders with 22 stolen bases in 27 attempts… Team-high five outfield assists… Recorded a .345 average in conference play with 24 runs scored, four doubles, 12 RBI, 13 walks and a .447 on-base percentage to go with 12 steals… Stole at least two bags in five different games including three in the series finale at Maryland Eastern Shore (3/18)… Finished with 12 multi-hit games including a CSU-record five hits in game one at Norfolk State where he also scored twice, doubled and drove in a run (4/1)… Drew a walk in ten-straight games from March 2 to March18, finishing with 13 bases on balls during the stretch… Had a three-hit performance in game two at Delaware State where he also scored three times and drove in two (4/14)… Added another three hits in series finale against Norfolk (4/22)… Drove in three runs on two hits at Lehigh (4/25)… Doubled in both games of a doubleheader at Norfolk (5/5)… Recorded a go-ahead three-run double and a stolen base in MEAC Tournament against Bethune-Cookman (5/19).
Andres' career ambition is to become a professional baseball player. In high school he played baseball. There, he was a county and state champion (2012).
