2020 (Junior): Started in 11 of the 12 games that he appeared, seeing time behind the plate, first base and designated hitter… Hit .233 (10-for-43) with four runs, a double and six RBI… Slugged .256 while recording a .283 on-base percentage with a pair of walks and a stolen base… Recorded four-straight two-hit games, starting with a two run and RBI performance in rout at Richmond… Drove in two runs to follow at George Washington and drove in one in in win at Georgetown… Finished the streak with a run, a double and an RBI at Lehigh… Scored a run in opener at UNC Asheville and had a hit in each of the final games of the series.

2019 (Sophomore): Third Team All-MEAC at catcher… Started in 36 of the 45 games he appeared in behind the plate… Hit .244 with 27 runs, 31 hits, 10 doubles, 2 triples, three home runs and 29 RBI to go with three stolen bases… Drew 14 walks and was hit by a pitch eight times to record a .356 on-base percentage and a .425 slugging percentage… Hit .265 with 6 doubles, 2 home runs and 19 RBI in conference play… Tallied seven multi-hit games with a pair of 3-hit efforts along with six multi-RBI games and four with at least three… Went 3-for-4 with three runs, two home runs and five RBI against Maryland Eastern Shore… Received MEAC Player of the Week honors and going 6-for-13 with two doubles and 4 RBI at Savannah State… Also homered against Mount St. Mary’s… Threw out 17 runners trying to steal bases.

Prior to Coppin: Played baseball at Shoreline CC and Bothell High School, the same school that produced former teammate Derek Lohr.
