Anija's career ambition is to become a law enforcement officer.  In high school, played basketball and ran track while being a student on the honor roll.  At Kingborough CC, Anija was a NJCAA 2016 First Team Relay All-American in 4x400. In 2017, Anija was a member of the 2017 Division III Championship relay team in the 4x400 and 4x800.  As an individual, he was an NJCAA Honorable Mention Track All-American in the 400 and 800 as well in 2017.
