BALTIMORE – Coppin State University has announced that
Jamara Washington has joined the staff as an assistant athletic trainer. Washington will work primarily with the Eagles' women's basketball, baseball track & field/cross country and tennis teams.
A native of Martinsburg, W.V., Washington graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor's in athletic training before earning her Masters in Exercise Science from University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM).
As a student at WVU, Washington assisted with the program's women's basketball and football team before serving as the assistant director of sports medicine with the Warhawks where she handled the women's basketball and volleyball teams.
