Jamara Washington was hired as an assistant athletic trainer at Coppin State University in May 2026. She works primarily with the Eagles' women's basketball, baseball, track & field/cross country and tennis programs.

A native of Martinsburg, W.V., Washington graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s in athletic training before earning her Masters in Exercise Science from University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM).  As a student at WVU, she worked primarily with the program's women's basketball and football team before serving as the assistant director of sports medicine with the Warhawks where she handled the women’s basketball and volleyball teams.
