TOWSON, Md. – Julianna Mejia and
Giselle Ulloa both had three hits as Coppin State's softball team fell to Towson, 10-2, on Tuesday afternoon at Tiger Stadium. The Eagles fell to 2-11 on the season while the Tigers improved to 11-13 overall.
Mejia and Ulloa both went 3-for-3 with a run scored with one of Mejia's hits going for a double while Ulloa also stole a base.

Debra Hyde threw the first 3.0 innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits before
Tatjana Harris gave up three runs over the next 2.0 innings.
Emily Quintero was charged with a run in the final two-thirds of an inning before the winning run came across in the sixth.
Hyde faced the minimum while holding the Tigers scoreless in the first, but Towson got on the board with a pair of unearned runs in the second. The Tigers added three in the third and four in the fourth to take a 9-0 lead.
Facing a possible run-rule, Coppin scored twice in the fifth to extend the game, getting its first run after three-straight singles from Mejia, Ulloa and Tapusoa. After a pitching change, Ulloa scored on a wild pitch before the side was retired.
Harris threw a 1-2-3 fifth to keep the game going but an RBI double by Towson in the sixth was the game-winner.
Coppin will head to Delaware State for a three-game MEAC series on March 22-23 with Saturday's doubleheader set for 1 pm, followed by a 12 pm first pitch on Sunday.
