BALTIMORE – Coppin State head women's golf coach
Elam Ruff has announced that
Alina Amos (Reidsville, N.C.) and
Genesis Lewis (Creedmoor, N.C.) have signed to play for the Eagles starting in the 2026-27 season, the inaugural season for the program.
"Amos is the first of two signees for the women's program, and we are thrilled to welcome her on board as we continue to build the foundation of our future," said Ruff. "Alina brings an exceptional junior career highlighted by back-to-back All-Conference honors, a regional runner-up finish in 2024, and a regional championship title in 2025. We are excited to add her talent, work ethic, and competitive spirit to our program."
"We are excited to welcome Genesis as one of the first women golfers in our program," commented Ruff. "Genesis has already built an impressive junior career - 2022 Conference Player of the Year, four-time All-Conference, 2025 Conference Player of the Year and runner-up, Regionals Champion, and State Championship runner-up. Her journey is just beginning, and we believe she'll play a key role in shaping the future of our program.
