FORT MYERS, Fla. – Paris McBride's career high 17 points were not enough as Coppin State's women's basketball team fell to 8
th-ranked Oklahoma, 100-46, on Friday night at Alico Arena on the opening day of the 2025 GEICO Conut Hoops Gret Egret Division. The Eagles fell to 1-6 on the season with five of those losses coming to Power Conference teams.
A senior from Richmond, Va., McBride sunk a career-high four 3-pointers to go with three free throws to surpass her previous high of 16 points, which she set as a freshman at NC State when she played at North Carolina Central. McBride also tallied six rebounds, two blocks, an assist and a steal.
Khila Morris was the only other Eagles player in double figures, recording 13 points to go with a team-high seven rebounds and three assists.

Sydney Burris added four points apiece as Burris matched Morris with seven rebounds.
Oklahoma had five players reach double digits, outshot Coppin, 50.0% to 22.6% and added 28 second-chance points to go with 36 points off turnovers.
Coppin will take on Missouri State in the Consolation Game on Sunday, November 30 at 4:00 pm.
