Cary, N.C.: Women's tennis concludes MEAC round-ups in a 6-0 fall to South Carolina State despite multiple games won in singles play. The Eagles drop to 0-3 in conference play, while South Carolina State remains undefeated in the MEAC at 4-0.
Hana ElSherif led the team with five games won at number two singles against Berjane with a loss at 6-4 in the first set and 6-1 in the second. At first singles, Megan Etienne strung four wins against Vitaliyena Chu in a two set loss (6-1, 6-2) . India Ampaw and Mackenize Jones collected three wins a piece at third and fourth singles. Emperess Johnson and Kenyange Kaounde saw action at fifth and sixth singles in two set match losses.
In doubles play, Ampaw and ElSherif grabbed two wins at third doubles against Vashkevich and Berjane for 5-2 loss before deemed unfinished. Etienne and Johnson also tallied a pair of wins at second doubles against Teixeria and Vujicic. Jones and Kaounde matched up at first singles for a loss at 6-0.
