Cary, N.C.: With a singles victory from Luka Markovic, Coppin men's tennis lost 6-1 to South Carolina State in day three of MEAC roundups. The Eagles drop to 0-3 in conference play.
Ulugbe Abdurakhmonov and Isaac Sanders paired up at number two doubles to lead the Eagles with two games won against the Bulldog's Sasso and Haflinger. The Eagles duo lost the set 5-2. Vansh Kapoor and Markovic won a game in first doubles for a 6-1 loss against Benchakroun and Niv. Anas Haddou and Rishi Jalota saw action at third doubles in a 6-0 loss to Mikalai Bankou Novakovic.
Markovic won at number5 two singles for a three-set match. After a 6-3 victory in the first set, he dropped the second set 6-1. Markovic won the third set 1-0 for a match win. At third singles, Sanders grabbed five wins in the first set, and dropped the second set 6-3. Kapoor won four games in a two-set loss at first singles. Haddou and Jalota won for games apiece at number four and number five singles. Abdurakhmonov tallied three wins at sixth singles.
