GREENSBORO, N.C. - Coppin State's bowling team finished the weekend with a 2-7 record at MEAC Meet #2 held at Triad Lanes. This finish granted the Eagles the seventh seed going into MEAC Championships on March 24-26.

The Eagles were winless on day one before defeating Howard, 900-826 and mounting a comeback win against Norfolk State, 898-828 in the final match of the tournament.

On day one,
Tavera Johnson led the team with 726 total pins over four games followed by
Elizabeth Stokley with 666 pins. For the tournament, Johnson averaged 176.14 over her seven games with a team-high game of 224 against Morgan State.

In her first match of the day,
Temira White recorded her highest game of the weekend of 183 against Morgan State.
Kaylah Castillo scored two games above 200 with a 211 against the BYE and a 201 against Howard.

Logan Brown led the Eagles in strike percentage with 40.6%, followed by
Xiani Carpenter with 39.1%.
Janaye Monroe led the Eagles in 10
th frame average with 22.80 followed by
Jalyne Myers at 19.00.

The Eagles are back in action on Feb. 24-26 at the Stallings Invitational, held at AMF All-Star Lanes in Greensboro, N.C.
