College Park, MD: With three players in double figures including a season high night for Toto Fagbenle, Coppin State Men's Basketball dropped to University of Maryland for a final score of 75-53. The Eagles conclude their non-conference play with a record of 1-13.Â

Justin Winston led all players with 19 points, four rebounds, and shot 42 percent from the floor with eight field-goals made.Â
Greg Spurlock was the team's second leading scorer with 13 points, four rebounds, and shot a perfect four of four from the stripe. Â
Fagbenle finished with a season high 12 points, shot 50 percent from the field, and led the team with nine rebounds and two steals. Â
Don Don Ferguson added six points as he knocked down both three pointers that he attempted. Â
Luka Tekavcic added a bucket off a putback along with two boards. Â
As a team, Coppin shot 41.7 percent from the three (5 of 12) to outnumber the Terrapins with 27.3 percent (6 of 22). Â
Coppin remained within two points to the Terrapins in the second half (37-35). Â
How it Happened: Â
- Fagbenele had four quick points within the first minute of the game. He scored a driving layup in the very first possession, and a pullup jumper in the following possession. Â
- Winston hit two step back jumpers to put the Eagles on a 5-0 run coming out of the first timeout (11-8). Â
- Spurlock carried the team late in the first half as he knocked down a three off the bounce, followed by a transition bucket off his own steal. Â
- Winston and Spurlock had seven points each in the first half. Â
- Coppin went into the second half trailing by 20 to Maryland (38-18). Â
- Maryland started the second half with a 5-0 run, deflated by a 5-0 run from Winston who counted for 12 of 35 points in the second half. Â
- Fagbenle put up a pair of dunks on back-to-back possessions within a 10-0 Coppin run. Â
- Ferguson knocked down two threes back-to-back towards the end of the second half.Â
- Maryland pulled off a 75-53 victory.Â
