CARY, N.C. – Vansh Kapoor won his match at No. 3 singles as the Coppin State men's tennis team fell to NC Central, 4-1 in the MEAC Tournament on Thursday afternoon at Cary Tennis Center. CSU concludes the season at 1-13 overall.
Kapoor made easy work of NC Central's Amit Baran en route to a 6-2, 6-1 win in the third flight to put Coppin on the board.
NC Central picked up the doubles point with a win by default in the third slot while defeating Kapoor and
Dean Waterman, 6-1 in the second spot. All-MEAC performers
Sergiu Medesan and
Luka Markovic trailed, 5-2 when NCCU clinched the doubles point.
With default victories at Nos. 5 and 6, NC Central only needed one win to move on and got that in the fourth position as Waterman fell, 6-2, 6-2. Medesan trailed, 6-4, 3-1 in the top slot while Markovic was down, 6-2, 0-4 in the second flight.
