HARRISONBURG, Va.-The Coppin State women's tennis team lost to James Madison on the road this Sunday, with a final score of 0-7. Coppin falls to a season record of 0-4 while JMU advances to 4-5.
In doubles action, Mackenzie Jones and Lucia Placidi faced Daniela Voloh and Michelle Los Acros and lost 6-1. In second doubles, Megan Etienne and Kristina Georgieva grabbed a game win but lost the set 6-1 to the sister duo of Kylie Moulin and Hope Moulin. Iva Jankovic and Christy Turner also won a game in third doubles and lost 6-1.
In singles play, Jones led the Eagles and won three games but lost both sets against Shannon McCarthy. Etienne, Yankovic, and Turner each won a game but lost in a series of two set matches.
Georgieva played against Moulin in third singles, while Placidi had action in first singles against Natalia Nikolopoulou.
The Eagles are back in action against Longwood on Wednesday, February 23 in Washington D.C.
