BALTIMORE – Sergiu Medesan and
Henrique Sada won their singles matches but the Coppin State men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to MEAC rival Howard on Saturday afternoon at CSU Tennis Courts. Prior to the match, Sada was honored in ceremony as he was competing in his final match with the Eagles.
The Bison won all three doubles matches to pick up the early point, but Coppin came right back with singles victories by Medesan and Sada in the third and fifth flights.
Medesan breezed to a 6-3 victory in the opening set before taking the second set, 7-6 (7-4) to improve his singles record to 7-1 on the season. Sada also won in straight sets, winning 6-4, 6-3 over Howard's Phoenix Williams.

Christopher Green all played well in their individual matches at Nos. 2, 4 and 6, respectively. Michael won four games in his opening set before dropping the second, 6-1. Kapoor won six games in his straight set defeat, taking four games in the second set. Green dropped his match, 6-4, 6-3.
