Volleyball Hosts Local Rival Morgan State for Regular Season Finale

BALTIMORE – Coppin State's volleyball team host crosstown rival Morgan State Lady Bears for the final match of the regular season.  The Battle of Baltimore will be played on Friday, November 12 at 7 p.m. inside the PEC Arena.  The match will be live streamed.

Last Time vs. The Bears 
The Eagles swept the Bears at Morgan (3-0) as Paola Caten led Coppin with 12 kills and two aces.  Ashley Roman led all players with 14 digs, while Andrea Tsvetanova led the team with 34 assists.  Miajavon ColemanAndrea Tsvetanova and Ashley Roman all received MEAC Volleyball Weekly honors after the win. 

Last Time Out 

Coppin fell in five sets to Delaware State, 3-2 (25-23, 25-23, 25-19, 25-21, 15-10) inside the PEC Arena Sunday afternoon. 

Miajavon Coleman lead all Eagles with a double-double, 17 kills and 14 digs. Paola Caten recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs. She also added six blocks, two aces and two assists. Hope Casel had a season-high in kills with 10 and hit for .348. 

Andrea Tsvetanova also notched a double-double with 38 assists and 19 digs. She also recorded three aces on the afternoon. Tsvetanova's efforts earned her MEAC Setter of the Week.
   
Coppin Contributors 
Miajavon Coleman leads the MEAC in kills and double doubles with 3.65 kills per set and a total of 343 kills, and 12 double doubles for the season.  Ashley Roman is also ranked first in digs/set (5.08). Andrea Tsvetanova is ranked second in the MEAC in assists/set (8.29) and fourth in service aces/set (0.46). Paola Caten is ranked sixth in kills/set (3.02) and 10th in service aces (0.33) and digs/set (2.77), respectively.

Climbing the Charts Coleman is ranked fifth in MEAC career points, and eighth in MEAC career kills, with 1487 career points and 1355 career digs.  Paola Caten is now tied for eighth in CSU all-time aces with a total of 81 career aces.  Ashley Roman is second in CSU history with 1,178 career digs while putting up a school-record 5.02 digs per set in her career.
