BALTIMORE – In the final collegiate competition of the 2019-20 season, the Coppin State men's tennis team fell to crosstown foe Loyola University Maryland, 7-0 on Thursday night at McClure Tennis Center.
Sam Scala-McNeill and
Sergiu Medesan put together a great effort at No. 1 doubles, but fell to the Greyhounds' top pair, 6-3.
Henrique Sada and
Quincy Pettis were dropped, 6-0 in the second flight.
After dropping the first set at No. 1 singles, Medesan regrouped for a 7-6 victory in the second set. Medesan lost the decider, 10-8.
Scala-McNeill won four games in the opening set at No. 2 doubles before taking a 6-1 loss in the second.
Sada and Pettis won one game in their defeats at Nos. 3 and 4 singles while
Dean Waterman took one game in each of his sets in the fifth flight.
