SMYRNA, Del. – Randy Serville led the Eagles as the Coppin State men's and women's cross country teams competed the DSU Pre-Conference Run Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Delaware State Outreach & Research Center.
Serville took fourth overall in the Men's 8K in a tie of 31:21.5 while
Jervonne Agard also finished in the top ten, placing ninth in 34:12.3. Rounding out the scorers for Coppin was
Ivan Wiggins (35:17),
Nku Henry (39:07.9) and
Eryk Goode (40:35).
The men's team finished second of three teams, edging out Bowie State but behind Delaware State.
On the women's side,
Tre'J Johnson took third overall in the 5K in 25:02, just ahead of teammates
Cathryn Lane (25:29.0) and
Kimani Alphonse (25:29.1).
Destinee McLeod also finished in 28:58.3.
CSU returns to action on Friday, October 11 at the DSU Alumni Invitational, its final tune-up before the MEAC Championships on October 26.
