NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's softball team was shut out, 3-0 at MEAC-leading Norfolk State on Sunday afternoon at NSU Softball Field.

How it Happened
- All of the runs came for Norfolk came in the first two innings as the Spartans scored two in the first with a home run by Kylee Lopez. They added another run in the second on a RBI single by Jade Dixon.
- Madison Didion was dominant the rest of the way for the Eagles as she did not allow a baserunner in the final four innings.
- Coppin had its best chances to score in the second, sixth and seventh innings. Nia Bowe was stranded at third in the second. The bases were left loaded in the sixth and two more runners were stranded in the seventh.
Inside the Numbers
- Madison Didion allowed just three runs on four hits while striking out seven in a complete game loss.
- Coppin outhit Norfolk, 5-4, with two hits coming from leadoff hitter Megan Narvaez. Alexis Genovese also drew two walks to account for the only other Eagles player to reach safely twice in the game.
