PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Dejuan Clayton scored 17 points while
Chad Andrews-Fulton added 11 points and 13 rebounds, helping the Coppin State men's basketball team overcome a 15 point deficit and defeat Maryland Eastern Shore, 58-55 at the Hytche Center Saturday evening.

How it Happened:
- Maryland Eastern Shore led 31-23 at halftime and went on an 8-1 to open the second half and take its largest lead of 39-24 with 18:10 remaining.
- Coppin quickly began to erase that deficit with a 10-0 run in just under three minutes to pull within five at the 15:17 mark.
- The Hawks extended their advantage back to eight with three free throws but Dejuan Clayton made a pair of free throws and Chad Andrews-Fulton converted on back-to-back three-point plays, the old-fashioned way, tying the score at 42 with 10:34 to go.
- With 9:52 left, Brendan Medley-Bacon was fed by Clayton for a layup, giving CSU its first lead since the 7:35 mark of the first half.
- At the other end, UMES retook the lead on a three-point play by Tyler Jones but Medley-Bacon tied it at 45 with 7:28 remaining.
- The teams fought for position over the next six minutes but a layup by Kent Auslander gave CSU at 54-52 lead.
- Andrews-Fulton hit a free throw with 29 ticks to go and Auslander made two of his own with 13 seconds left to give CSU at 57-52 advantage.
- UMES' Ryan Andino buried a three with five seconds left to pull within two, but after a free throws by Clayton, the Hawks' desperation three was off the mark.

- Dejuan Clayton led the Eagles with 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting while making 5-of-7 from the line.
- Chad Andrews-Fulton notched a double-double with 11 points, a game-high 13 rebounds and a team-high three assists. He also made 7-of-8 from the line, making his first six.
- Lamar Morgan made three 3-pointers and finished with 10 points while Kent Auslander chipped in with eight points and five rebounds off the bench.
- CSU outshot UMES, 40.9% to 32.1% and held the Hawks to just 22.6% shooting in the second half.
- The Eagles made 19-of-27 free throws for a respectable 70.4% compared to 9-of-13 for the Hawks.
- Ryan Andino scored 20 points to lead UMES while Bryan Urrutia dished out eight assists.
