CINCINNATI, Ohio – Coppin State's women's basketball team shot just 25.0% from the floor in an 86-40 loss at Cincinnati on Monday night at Fifth Third Arena.

Inside the Numbers
- Marley Grenway led Coppin State with a season-high 11 points with three 3-pointers. The freshman from Jessup, Md., finished 4-of-8 shooting and added a rebound and an assist.
- Tyree Allen added seven points while Jalynda Salley finished with six and both Alexandria Hamilton and Aliyah Lawson chipped in with five points each.
- Oluwadamilola Oloyede pulled down a team-high seven rebounds as Chance Graham was credited with two points, three rebounds, a block and a pair of steals.
- CSU was outshot, 47.9% to 25.0% and was outrebounded, 47-32. The Eagles committed 22 turnovers which led to 29 points for Cincinnati.
How it Happened
- Cincinnati scored the first ten points of the game before Marley Grenway hit a three off a pass from Oluwadamilola Oloyede at the 7:41 mark of the first quarter.
- Grenway hit another triple nearly two minutes later and Oloyede hit a pair from the line to cut the Bearcats lead to 14-8 with 5:12 to go.
- Following ten-straight points by the hosts, Aliyah Lawson hit a jumper in the paint, but Cincinnati hit a three just before the buzzer to lead, 27-10.
- A big second and third quarter by Cincinnati made it a 79-28 score going into the final period.
- Coppin outscored the Bearcats, 12-7 in the fourth and went on a 7-0 run early in the stanza with five of the points coming from Jalynda Salley.
- The hosts then hit a pair of free throws, but CSU got a jumper from E'Mya Price and a three from Tyree Allen to close out the game.
