Second Quarter
  • The Hornets held a slight 6-5 edge over the first two minutes of the second quarter before a DSU timeout, 25-24 Delaware State.
  • Scoring was hard to come by for both sides, but Coppin's defense proved to be the difference, scoring four unanswered while shutting out the Hornets over a 8:46 time frame to take a slim one-point advantage into halftime, 28-27 Eagles.
Third Quarter
  •  Scoring came much easier for both squads in the third as two three-pointers by Brooke Fields fueled the Lady Eagles on a 8-4 surge into the media timeout, 36-31 CSU.
  • A three-ball by Coleman set her season-high with 12 points halfway through the third to give CSU a 41-35 upper-hand.
  • Going into final media timeout at 2:22 saw both sides shoot with hot hands as the points were 7-6 in favor of DeWayne Burroughs' crew, 48-41 Coppin.
