BALTIMORE, Md. – CSU volleyball hopes to rebound from a rough opening weekend as it takes on the Saint Peter's Peacocks Wednesday night. This will be the second game of a tri-match hosted by Morgan State University, with Coppin's first serve set for 4 p.m.

Scouting the Peacocks
  • The Peacocks are coming off a tri-match split at Lafayette College on Monday, winning against the host Leopards 3-1, after falling to Lehigh in straight sets.
  • Saint Peter's leads the MAAC in opponents hitting percentage allowed, posting a miniscule .148 against as well as topping the conference in blocks (2.3) and digs per set (18.7).
  • Freshman phenom Alanis Alvarado is tops on the team with 69 kills, second in digs (74) along with being third among MAAC players in kills per set (3.63).
  • Senior Alexus Sharp is second in the conference in hitting percentage (.439) to go along with being second on the team in blocks (16).
  • Karla Seda paces the team with 79 digs and is tied for the team lead in service aces (4).
  • Freshman Angelee Ng is the frontrunner in assists with 88 for Saint Peter's while also tied for first on the squad in service aces (4).
  • Senior Kali Viles has been the leading net protector for the Peacocks this season, blocking 18 attacks through its first five contests.

  • Lauryn Harrell received her first athletic accomplishment of the season as she was named to the UNC Asheville Invitational All-Tournament Team over the weekend. She earned the nomination with 17 kills, four blocks and four kills over the three matches played.
  • Brianna Lang has contributed 59 assists and 16 digs on the season including a weekend high 28 assists in a loss to Appalachian State.
  • Miajavon Coleman is fronting the Eagles offensive attack with 20 kills on the young season while currently fifth in the MEAC with a .302 hitting percentage.
  • Rebekka Hauri is first among the Lady Eagles in service aces with 3 (tied with Marlena Guice) and has notched 20 digs to date. She had a breakout performance against The Citadel setting a season-high of 11 digs.
  • Christa Johnson, one of the few returning players on the team, leads the team in blocks (6) as well as slotting fourth in kills (7).
