NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State women's basketball fell at Old Dominion on Saturday evening 81-51 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
Brooke Fields was the top scorer with 17 for CSU while
Maraiyah Smith had a season-best 13 points.

First Quarter
- A block by Jalynda Salley on the Monarchs opening possession set a physical tone for the contest.
- ODU started the game on a 5-0 run before a corner triple from Kaiya Coleman got the Eagles on the board, 5-3 ODU.
- Coleman struck again for Coppin with a floating off-balance and-one layup to give CSU the edge 8-7.
- Old Dominion countered with six unanswered out of the media timeout until a 18-foot jumper from Chance Graham splashed the net, 13-10 Old Dominion.
- The final six points of the quarter for ODU came from the free-throw line as it took a 19-12 lead to end the first.
Second Quarter
- Another surge of six unanswered put the Monarchs up 25-12.
- The home team uses a 6-4 rally to head into the media timeout, 31-16 ODU.
- Scoring slowed to a crawl to end the first half, as the Monarchs and Eagles combined for 13 points over the final five minutes as Old Dominion held a 36-24 advantage at halftime.

- Brooke Fields paced the Eagles in scoring for the third time in 2018-19 with 17 points to go with four rebounds and two assists.
