Coppin Set To Battle Fairleigh Dickinson And Morgan State

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Eagles will look for its first win in five tries against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights on Halloween before returning to the MEAC to face its East Side rival, Morgan State on Sunday afternoon.

  • Freshman libero Chelsie Kolibar sits 17 digs shy of the Coppin top ten in digs for a season as she has piled up 274 through October 30.
Scouting the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights
  • FDU has been in a losing rut, dropping its previous 14 contests, and has not tasted victory since a 3-2 win over Delaware State on September 15.
  • The strength of this Knights team is its ability to reject the opponents' attacks. The team is third in the NEC with 1.97 blocks per set with Dickinson's top shot blocker being 6-1 freshman Brooke Stevens (0.91 per set).
  • Erika Sullivan is the focal point for Fairleigh Dickinson's attack, pacing the squad with 2.39 kills per set and the team's top setter is Corina Beimers at 4.88 assists per set.
  • Jaelyn Young fronts the defensive end, hitting 3.25 digs per set.
Scouting the Morgan State Bears
  • Morgan has hovered around the .500 mark all season long as it comes into this weekend's tilt at 12-12 and 4-3 in the MEAC.

  • Wallace is the MEAC's best setter as she's averaged 10.21 assists per set.
