Coppin State (4-15, 4-3) hits the road for the first of two meetings this season against the Hampton Pirates on Monday, January 30th at 5:00 p.m. The Eagles ended a two game skid with a victory at home over rival Morgan State on Saturday. The Pirates lead the all-time series with the Eagles 25-16.

COPPIN STATE's LAST TIME OUT
Chance Graham notched her second double-double of the season leading the Eagles to a 61-45 win over crosstown rival Morgan State. Four Eagles scored in double figures led by senior
Keena Samuels' game-high 14 points. Samuels made five shots from the field and 4-of-6 free-throws. Graduate
Tiara Goode scored 11 points and had seven rebounds hitting 4-of-6 free-throws and a three-pointer. Red-shirt junior
Genesis Lucas also scored 11 points and dished out a team-high four assists with five rebounds. Junior
Candice Beverly added nine points, five rebounds and two steals while graduate
Vanessa Neal paced the Eagles bench with six points.
EAGLES AMONGST THE MEAC RANKINGS
- Genesis Lucas ranks in the MEAC top-10 in seven different categories; tenth in the conference in scoring (12.4), third in assists (4.3), fourth in steals (2.5), fifth in free-throw percentage (.780), third in steals (2.5), fourth in assist/turnover ratio (1.1) and eighth in minutes played (33.9) per game.
- Keena Samuels ranks 12th in scoring (12.3), 14th in field goal percentage (.365), 12th in free-throw percentage (.738) and sixth in steals (1.9).
- Tiara Goode is 26th in scoring (9.4) and fifth in three-point field goals made per game (1.8).
- Chance Graham is third in rebounding (8.4), 15th in blocked shots (0.7), third in offensive rebounds (3.4) and seventh in defensive rebounds (4.6).
- Oluwaseun Adeniji is 11th in blocked shots (0.7).
ALL-TIME ASSISTS
Genesis Lucas climbs up to sixth in school history in career assist totals with 271. As a sophomore she dished out 130 and as a freshman 82. Now in her third season she has 59 thus far, just passing then No. 6 Liesha Mitchell (266).
SCOUTING THE PIRATES
Hampton is 12-7 and 6-0 in MEAC action after a convincing 80-46 win over South Carolina State on Jan. 25. Sophomore DeJane' James scored a career-high 17 points and dished out a career-best six assists to lead three in double figures coming off the bench. Monnazjea Finney-Smith added 13 points and five rebounds, while Ashley Bates had 11 points and three steals.  Hampton forced SCSU into 21 turnovers which they converted into 35 points to help lead to the victory and run its winning streak to seven games in a row.

Coppin State continues their two game road trip with a Saturday afternoon matchup in Princess Anne, MD against Maryland Eastern Shore on February 4th at 2 p.m. The Eagles lead the all-time series against the Hawks 35-26.
