WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Eagles suffered a 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-17) loss on the road in non-conference action to American Universality in Bender Arena on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Glorines Rosado had a season-best three aces as Coppin State finished with five aces totaled. Junior
Bailee Jackson had the other two aces and added five digs with four kills.
CSU's offense had a slow start in this mid-week battle with only 14 kills. Bailee had a team-high in kills while freshman
Asia Stennis and junior
Guro Froberg each had three. Freshman
Angel Jamerson finished with a season-best six assists, an assisted block, dig, and a kill.
American (6-2) breezed through their Tuesday night with 44 kills on a .432 attack percentage. Two reached double figure kills while a pair had double-digit assists.
The Eagles (0-8) head to Williamsburg, VA in their next match. Coppin State will compete at the Colonial Classic Volleyball Tournament against Western Carolina on Friday, Sept. 9 at 4:30 p.m. Then CSU will face UNC-Charlotte at 10 a.m. on Saturday followed by host William & Mary at 7 p.m.
