Tiara Goode broke a Coppin State single game record with eight made three-pointers finishing with 28 points in a 69-65 loss at Towson. The Eagles as a team made a game record 11 three-pointers after leading by double-digits in the third period.
•   The Eagles have opened the season with seven consecutive losses, Coppin State's worst start to a season since 2008-09, when the Eagles began the season 0-9 but finished strong in MEAC play (12-4) and reached the Women's National Invitational Tournament.

Tiara Goode made eight three-pointers and the Eagles as a team made 11 in their strongest game of the year. The Eagles scored a season-high 65 points, made 11 three-pointers on 20 attempts, converted on 20-of-29 free-throws, 15 assists, and 13 steals in their sixth road game of the year. ABOUT THE ORANGE
#20 Syracuse holds a 4-0 record at home this season and won their last two games against Michigan State (75-64) and Central Connecticut (95-63) in the Carrier Dome. Three are averaging in double figure scoring led by Alexis Peterson's 23.1 ppg. Brittney Sykes (17.7 ppg) and Briana Day (12.9 ppg) are the others top scorers with Sykes and Day are both leading the team in rebounds at 8.2 per game.
GOODE BREAKS 3-POINT RECORD WITH EIGHT AT TOWSON

Tiara Goode came off the Eagles bench and made 8-of-11 three-pointers setting a new Coppin State single-game record at Towson on Saturday, December 3, 2016. She made four in the first half breaking a record that Natasha Parks previously held with seven three-pointers back on Feb. 2, 1996. Coppin State as a team went 11-for-20 from downtown eclipsing the previous school record held by the 1999-00 team that made ten three-pointers versus Florida A&M.
UP NEXT
Coppin State travels to #16 Miami (5-1) for a Holiday Tournament on Dec. 19-20 in Coral Gables where they will play their second game of the tournament against either Maine or Tennessee State. After the holiday break Coppin State takes on North Carolina on Dec. 28 and then UMBC on Dec. 31.
