Eagles Travel to Clemson on Sunday

THE LATEST
•    The Eagles ended the month of November with their ninth loss of the season to Georgetown (96-44) in the Verizon Center on Wednesday. Coppin State came away with a season-high five blocked shots and had a pair finish in double figure scoring.
•    Coppin State has opened the season with nine consecutive losses, their worst start to a season since 2005-06, when the Eagles went 0-12 but finished strong in MEAC play going 12-6 in league play. CSU last won the MEAC Tournament in 2007-08 after finishing 7-9 in the regular season.
•    Coppin State ranks 12th in the nation in 3-pt field goal attempts (218), 16th in total rebounds (325) and 25th in free-throw attempts (202). The Eagles lead the MEAC in free-throw attempts while ranking second in 3-pt field goal attempts, free-throws made (116), total 3-point field goals made (63) and in total rebounds.

UP NEXT
Coppin State will hit the road next week for away trips at Akron on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. and at Buffalo on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. Akron leads the all-time series with the Eagles 4-0 including last year's meeting 77-71 on Dec. 2, 2015. The Eagles hold a 1-0 all-time series lead against Buffalo winning their only meeting on Jan. 9, 1993 (69-52).

ABOUT THE TIGERS
Clemson (4-2) took down Nebraska, 60-58, on Monday in their most recent game building on a current two game win streak. The Tigers have five players averaging double figure scoring and one averaging double figure rebounds. Jarome Blossomgame leads the bunch with 17.8 ppg. Gabe DeVoe (12.0 ppg), Avry Holmes (11.7 ppg), Donte Grantham (11.3 ppg) and Marcquise Reed (10.5 ppg) are the others and Sidy Djitte (10.0 rpg) leads the team on the boards.

LAST TIME OUT  
Senior forward Joshua Treadwell finished with 17 points after scoring 14 in the second half on 6-of-10 made shots from the field in a 96-44 loss to Georgetown in the Verizon Center. Junior guard Tre' Thomas led the Eagles bench scoring with 16 points hitting five three-pointers. He was Coppin State's top scorer at the half with ten points. Junior forward Blake Simpson grabbed six rebounds and freshman guard Dejuan Clayton had a team-high four assists.

MADE THREE-POINTERS STREAK CONTINUES FOR EAGLES
Coppin State has made at least one three-point field goal in 195 consecutive games over the past seven seasons; which is the current longest streak in the nation. The last time the Eagles were unable to register a made three-pointer in a game was back on Feb. 22, 2010 at Delaware State (0-8).

EAGLES LAST DIVISION I NON-CONFERNCE VICTORY  
Coppin State has not defeated an NCAA Division I opponent in three seasons. The last non-conference victory came at home on December 11, 2013 against UMBC (91-71). That season CSU also defeated Ohio Valley (96-79) and Oregon State (78-73). Head Coach Michael Grant has three non-conference victories in three seasons for the Eagles coming against NCAA Division II institutions; Goldey-Beacom and Chestnut Hill.
