TUESDAY'S MATCHUP
Coppin State will host Louisiana Monroe in their third home game of the season on Tuesday, December 20
th at 2 p.m. This will be the first ever meeting between the Eagles and the Warhawks.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Coppin State ended a 12-game losing streak to begin the 2016-17 season with a come from behind win in overtime (89-83) against Goldey-Beacom on Thursday, Dec. 15 in the PEC. The Eagles finished with season-highs in points (89), field goals made (27), free-throws made (25), free-throw percentage (.862), rebounds (43) and in assists (17). The Eagles held a 43-36 advantage on the boards while their bench outscored the Lightning 35-8. In overtime Coppin State outscored the Lightning 11-5.

EAGLES WIN IN OVERTIME
Three Eagles reached double figure scoring in their first win of the season against the Lightning. Junior 
Tre' Thomas scored a season-high 25 points, tying a season-best with six three-pointers and going 5-for-6 from the free-throw line. Senior forward 
Terry Harris Jr. finished with a season-high 21 points, nine rebounds and two assists. He made 10-of-11 free-throws which was a team season-high. 
Joshua Treadwell scored 19 points off of the CSU bench grabbing seven rebounds, had two steals and made all four of his free-throws. Freshman 
Dejuan Clayton dished out a season-high eight assists and tied a season-best with two steals while senior forward 
Izais Hicks tied a career-high with seven points, making 3-of-5 shots from the field.
 
ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
Louisiana-Monroe suffered a close four point loss in their previous game at Northwestern State (68-64) on Saturday. Prior to that, ULM won three of their last four games, but are 0-3 on the road. Three players are averaging in double figure scoring paced by Travis Munnings 13.1 ppg. He also leads them in rebounding with 9.0 per game. Sam McDaniel (11.7 ppg) and Nick Coppola (11.2 ppg) are the other two scorers underneath seventh year head coach Keith Richard. After their battle with the Eagles, ULM heads to Richmond, VA for a meeting with VCU on Thursday night.

The Eagles will conclude non-conference play with a Thursday night matchup with Mount St. Mary's at 7 p.m. in Emmittsburg, MD. The last time the Mount and Eagles faced each other was in the 2008 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Opening Round with CSU falling 69-60.
