Lady Eagles Look to Bounce Back Against FAMU

ABOUT THE EAGLES
The Lady Eagles are 5-10 and are coming off their first MEAC loss on the season to Bethune-Cookman. Coppin State is 2-1 in MEAC play and are 3-1 in its last four games.

Keena Samuels tallied 11 points and one rebound in 36 minutes of game action. She tied a team high with two assists. Samuels went 5-of-6 from the foul line.
 
Genesis Lucas recorded eight points, three rebounds, two assists and a team best four steals.
 
Omaah Tayong scored eight points and snagged nine rebounds off the bench for Coppin State. 
 
MONDAY'S GAME
Florida A&M leads the all-time series 22-19 over Coppin State. The Lady Eagles won last season's meeting 70-65 in Baltimore at PEC Arena.

A cold shooting night spelled doom for the FAMU Women's Basketball team, as they dropped a tough 67-62 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference home decision to visiting Morgan State at The Al Lawson Center Saturday evening.
 
Senior Khaderja Young led FAMU with a double double, scoring 21 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. Olivia Antilla finished with 13 points, and Alicia McCray added 10 points and eight rebounds.
 
Farrar Braennan led Morgan with 21 points, while the trio of Zuri White, Ivy Harrington and Danielle Robinson each scored 10 points, with White pulling down 20 rebounds, 11 on the defensive end. 
 
WHATS DOWN THE ROAD
Coppin State will head home for three staright MEAC home games against North Carloina A&T (Sat, Jan. 23), North Carolina Central (Mon, Jan. 25) and Maryland Eastern Shore (Sat, Jan. 30). This will be the longest home stand of the MEAC season for the Lady Eagles.
 
COPPIN STATE ON THE ROAD
The Lady Eagles are 2-7 away from the PEC Arena during the 2015-16 season. Last year Coppin State was 2-13 on the road. Their last road win was January 9 against Howard. The Lady Eagles are 1-1 in MEAC road games this season.
 
TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA
The Lady Eagles are currently 0-2 in games played in Florida. Dropping games to both Miami and Bethune-Cookman. Their final game in Florida will be Monday January 18 against FAMU.

MOST REBOUNDS IN A GAME: Jordan Swails, 16 rebounds, vs. Mt. St. Mary's (Nov. 29, 2015)
Senior Jordan Swails notched her fourth career double-double with 11 points and a career best 16 rebounds. Swails was an equal opportunity board snatcher, finishing with eight offensive and defensive rebounds.
 
She added two assists, two steals and two blocks.
 
MOST ASSISTS IN A GAME: Genesis Lucas, 7 assists, at Virginia (Dec. 28, 2015)
Genesis Lucas scored four points and a season high seven assists in the setback loss. She also added a steal in 35 minutes of game action.
 
Her seven assists was one shy of her career high. Lucas has now led the Lady Eagles in assists 16 times in her career.
