BALTIMORE- The Coppin State women's basketball team will continues its three game Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) road trip against Syracuse University Wednesday night. The game begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.

Coppin State (2-5) does not return home to the Physical Education Complex until January 4
th.

Coppin State lead the MEAC in Scoring Offense (62.3 ppg) and field goal percentage (39.5%).

Overall, three Lady Eagles are scoring in double figures and have four players that are in the top 25 in scoring in the MEAC.

Janelle Lane and
Jordan Swails are both pouring in a team high 10.7 points per game.

Lane adding 4.1 rebounds on 50% shooting from the field. He leads the Eagles with 7 blocks this season.

Swails is averaging 6.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. She leads Coppin State with 16 steals and is second in the MEAC in steals per game (2.3).

Amber Griffin is chipping in 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists. Griffin has four double digit scoring games this season, including a career high 21, on 9-of-11 shooting, in a win over Mount St. Mary's.

Omaah Tayong is leading the team with eight rebounds per game, which is tied for fifth in the MEAC. Tayong is fourth in the MEAC in offensive rebounding and has two games with 10 or more rebounds this season.

Coppin State is second in the MEAC in Rebounding (41.0) per game and first in the MEAC in defensive rebounding at (26.1) per game.

Meanwhile, Syracuse (7-1) is ranked 18th in the AP Poll and have won four of its last five games. Alexis Peterson leads 15.4 points, 4.4 assists and 4.4 rebounds per contests. Brianna Butler is adding 14.3 points and 3.1 rebounds.

The Eagles will complete their three game ACC road trip when they travel to Blacksburg, VA for a Sunday noon tipoff December 13 in the Cassell Coliseum against Virginia Tech.Â
