BALTIMORE- Playing in its final game of the 2015 calendar year, the Coppin State men's basketball team dropped a 104-84 decision Wednesday night on the road to #11 Iowa State Cyclones at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.

The Cyclones now hold a 4-0 all time series lead over the Eagles.

Coppin State (2-13) has completed its non-conference schedule for this season.

Joshua Treadwell poured in 21 points with six rebounds, three assists and one steal. His 21 points was one shy of his career high and his three assists tied his career best. Treadwell sunk a career high five 3-pointers against the Cyclones.

He now has eight double figure scoring games this season including two games with 20 or more points.

Junior guard
Christian Kessee finished the game with 19 points on 7-of-11 from the floor and dished out a career high seven assists in 32 minutes of game action. He also tied his career best with five made 3-point field goals.

Kessee leads the Eagles with 31 made 3-point baskets this season. He has 10 games scoring in double digits the year.

Trevon Seymore added 10 points, five assists and three rebounds for Coppin State.

Seymore leads the Eagles with 47 assists and 18 steals.

Coppin State won the battle of the benches 43-30, with the help of Treadwell,
Lucian Brownlee and
James Sylvester.

Freshman guard
Lucian Brownlee chipped in 13 points and one assist on 3-of-6 accuracy from beyond the arc and a perfect 2-of-2 from the free throw line. Brownlee has made at least two 3-pointers in consecutive games.

James Sylvester scored six points with a team best eight rebounds, two assists and two steals. He now has eight games with three or more offensive rebounds.

Sylvester leads the Eagles with 36 offensive rebounds on the season. He is tied for second on the team with 13 steals.

Coppin State made a season best 17 3-pointers on a season high 56.7% accuracy from 3-point range.

The Eagles outscored the Cyclone in second chance points 22-15.

#11 Iowa State (11-1) remains undefeated in non-conference home games.

Abdel Nader scored 21 points with four rebounds, two blocks and two steals for the Cyclones. Monte Morris added 10 points, 11 assists, four rebounds and two steals in the win.

Coppin State will return to action after the New Year with its first conference road game on January 9 against Howard at 4:00 p.m. in Burr Gymnasium in Washington D.C.
