BALTIMORE- Playing in its fourth consecutive game away from the Physical Education Complex, the Coppin State women's basketball team will take on the Auburn University Tigers Saturday December 19 at nearby SECU Arena on the campus of Towson University.

Coppin State (2-7) is coming off a three-game ACC road trip against Miami, Syracuse, Virginia Tech.

CSU leads the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in field goal percentage (39.0%). The Eagles also have four players in the top 30 scorers in MEAC.

Janelle Lane leads Coppin State with 10.2 points per game on 52.2% accuracy for the field, third in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). She is adding 4.4 rebounds and a team high eight blocks.

Senior guard
Amber Griffin is adding 9.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest for CSU. Griffin is eighth in the MEAC in assists and ninth in field goal percentage at (46.3%). She leads the team with 32.9 minutes played per game, tenth in the MEAC.

She has dished out two or more assists in eight games for Coppin State, including four consecutive games. Griffin now has 317 career assists.

Jordan Swails is scoring on a 9.2 point per game clip. She leads the team in steals with 19 (2.1 spg) and second on the team in rebounds 6.3 per game. Swails has two or more steals in seven games this year.

Lane and Swails have stated in all nine games for Coppin State this season.

Omaah Tayong is averaging a team high 7.7 rebounds per contest. She is pouring in 8.7 points per game on 47.9% shooting from the floor. Tayong is in the top 10 in the MEAC in rebounding (7th), field goal percentage (7th), offensive rebounding (T7th) and defensive rebounding (6th).

Genesis Lucas has been a stable of consistency for Coppin State. She is averaging 7.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.0 steals and 32.7 minutes through seven games. Lucas is fourth the MEAC in assists per game. She has lead Coppin State in steals nine times and assists 14 times in her career.

Meanwhile, the Auburn Tigers (7-2) have won five of their last six games. The Tigers are lead by 19.2 points and 4.4. rebounds from Brandy Montgomery. Tra'Cee Tanner is adding 13.1 points and 8.4 rebounds.

The Eagles will return to action with a trip to Charlottesville, VA for the UVA Cavalier Classic with matchups against the University of Virginia on Monday December 28 with a 7:00 p.m. tipoff and a game against Lafayette College Tuesday December 29 at 4:30 p.m.Â
