BALTIMORE- The Coppin State women's basketball team completed it's three game Atlantic Coast Conference with a 39-72 setback Sunday afternoon to Virginia Tech in Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Va.

Coppin State (2-7) shot a season low 31% from the field in the loss.

The Eagles were led by senior guard
Amber Griffin with nine points, on 4-of-6 shooting from the field with three rebounds and two assists. It was Griffin's second game leading the Eagles in scoring this season.

Tanaysa Henderson and
Keena Samuels scored six points apiece off the bench for Coppin State. Henderson added four rebounds on 2-of-4, including 1-of-2 from long distance, against Virginia Tech.

Janelle Lane and
Omaah Tayong both chipped in four points for the Lady Eagles. Lane grabbed a team high eight rebounds and dished one assist. She

Tayong finished with seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals for Coppin State.

Hannah Young led the Hokies with 23 points and seven rebounds. Vanessa Panousis, Chanette Hicks, Sidney Cooks all finished with nine points for Virginia Tech.

The Lady Eagles will return to action on Saturday December 19 for matchup against Auburn University at nearby Towson University's SECU Arena.Â
