Viktor Lemberger,
James Jeffreys and
Belind Kellici each won both their respective singles and doubles matches as Coppin State picked up their first victory of the season, 5-2 over Maryland Eastern Shore at the Hawks Outdoor Tennis Complex on Wednesday afternoon.
Lemberger, playing at first singles, won for the second straight match defeating Rashad James in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
At second singles, Jeffreys didn't give up a single game to Dorian Thomas en route to a 6-0, 6-0 victory, while Kellici downed
Michael Davenport at third singles, 6-0, 6-2.
Shane Smith, playing in his first match of the season, got past Delonte Monk at fifth singles, 8-7, to give the Eagles their fourth point of the match.
Coppin State was able to win at first and second doubles, picking up the matches first point. Jeffreys and Kellici teamed together at first doubles to defeat Rashad James and Dorian Thomas, 8-3. The win marked the second straight for both Jeffreys and Kellici in doubles action.
