Tanaysa Henderson and
Bria Harris led Coppin State in scoring during an 83-43 loss to West Virginia Saturday afternoon at the WVU Coliseum.
Henderson topped the team with a career-high 13 points. She scored all of her points in the second half. Henderson was 3-for-3 from three-point range.
Harris added 10 points and eight rebounds. This is the fourth time this season and ninth career game scoring in double figures.
Amber Griffin, who opened the game scoring with a jumper, notched eight points, pulled down a season-best six rebounds, and dished four assists.
Four players for West Virginia finished with double digits in scoring led by Bria Holmes, the nation's ninth-leading scorer. She recorded 20 points and seven rebounds. Averee Fields (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Lanay Montgomery (10 points, 12 rebounds) both earned double-doubles. Teana Muldrow had 11 points.
The Eagles are back on the road against in-state foe, Mt. St. Mary's Wednesday at 7 p.m.
