Coppin State University's Krystian Negron was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday, March 28^th.
 
In consecutive weeks the Eagles freshman pitcher was recognized by the MEAC. He was named the MEAC Baseball Rookie of the Week on March 21^st.
 
The Miami native picked up his second win of the season by tossing a complete-game shutout against Delaware State on Friday, March 25^th. He scattered six hits and fanned seven in the 32 batters faced.
 
In eight games this season he has a team-high 36 innings pitched, 4.50 earned run average, and two saves. The Eagles baseball team has an overall record of 4-17 with a 2-3 MEAC record. Coppin State returns to the field for a home non-conference matchup against Georgetown University on Wednesday, March 30^th at 3 p.m. at Joe Cannon Stadium in Baltimore, MD.
