Inside the Numbers
How it Happened
- It was a traditional rivalry game as Coppin was unable to pull away from the Bears despite holding large leads throughout.
- The Eagles led, 20-16 in the opening set, but Morgan rallied for three-straight points. Coppin did not let the score get tied as the Eagles got all their final four points of MSU errors.
- With the second set tied at 12-12, Coppin went on a 5-0 run with four-straight kills from Miller-Green, Williams and Palacios.
- Morgan came back to within, 20-19 before Palacios recorded a kill before an ace from Gabi Theut. The hosts once again battled back to a one-point deficit before making a pair of service errors.
- CSU got out to a 5-0 lead in the third, and as many as 14-5, but its archival came back and found itself trailing just 24-23 before Casel clinched the match with a kill.
