After spending 20 years at Stevenson University, Stefanie Meyerson-Beard made her return to Coppin in February 2020 as the Head Athletic Trainer. Meyerson-Beard was previously an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Eagles during the 2003-04 season.
While working at Stevenson, Meyerson-Beard also served as a Certified Athletic Trainer for Men's & Women's Basketball at St. Francis Academy. In her first seven years with the Mustangs, Meyerson-Beard served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Assistant Softball Coach. She was promoted to head coach of the softball program starting in 2005 where she racked up 119 wins as the head softball coach.
Meyerson-Beard was promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer in August 2011, just over three years after VJC became Stevenson University, and stepped down as the softball coach.
The University of Charleston (WV) graduate earned her bachelor of science degree in 1998. She has combined her love of the diamond with her work, aiding athletes attending the Ripken baseball camps at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen as well.
Meyerson-Beard and her husband, Clayton, the assistant head coach for the Mustangs football team, welcomed twins, Layne and Masyn in April 2015, and daughter, Grace in July 2016.
