A dedicated player development specialist, Kevin Green is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Coppin State women’s basketball program. With nearly a decade of coaching experience across high school, college, and academy levels, Coach Green has a proven track record of turning programs into contenders.
Green most recently served as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at North Tampa Christian Academy, where he orchestrated the most successful season in school history in 2023–24, guiding the team to a 22-3 record, their first-ever district championship, and a state regional final appearance.
Before arriving at NTCA, Coach Green spent three seasons at Berean Christian School (2020–23), where he compiled an impressive 54-16 overall record. His teams won three-straight district titles, reached the Sweet 16 in consecutive years, and made a pair of regional final appearances. The 2021–22 team went 22-5, setting a new best for the program.
At the collegiate level, Green served as an Assistant Coach at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Fla.,, where he earned an associate’s degree, from 2018–20, helping the program claim back-to-back conference championships.
Earlier in his career, he held the dual role of Head Middle School Girls Coach and Assistant Athletic Director at North Dallas Adventist Academy (2017–18). There, he led the girls team to an undefeated season, capping it off with district and state titles, while his boys team finished third in the state.
Off the sidelines, Green has made a lasting impact through BrotherlyLuv Academy, where he has served as a Player Development Coach since 2015, training and mentoring athletes across all levels.
Following his sophomore season at Santa Fe College where he was an All-Conference selection, Green attended Florida Atlantic where he earned his bachelor’s degree and played for former National Coach of the Year, Matt Doherty. He played his final collegiate season at nationally ranked West Texas A&M, earning All-Conference honors and leading the program to a League Title.
Green played professional basketball overseas in Germany from 2008-2010, where he played for SC Bergstrasse. In his first year, the team won a league championship and he was named the league MVP.
