Tonia Douglas is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Coppin State University Women's Bowling Team.

Douglas brings a wealth of coaching experience to the program as a United States Bowling Congress, Certified Bronze Level Coach.  Prior to Coppin State, Douglas served as a Head Coach for the Potomac Lanes Youth Bowling Program located in Washington D.C., where she was instrumental in coaching and mentoring numerous college bound women’s bowlers.  Also, for four years she served as an assistant coach for the Forestville High School softball team.  

An accomplished bowler in her own right, Douglas won numerous local and national titles as a competitor.
 
Douglas attended Hampton University where she played varsity softball for the Pirates.
