Kezia Conyers joined the Coppin State women’s basketball coaching staff in August 2022 after serving for three seasons as the head coach at Motlow State Community College in Tennessee.
A graduate of Appalachian State with a degree in criminal justice, Conyers started her coaching career as an assistant at Maclay School and FAMU High School in her hometown of Tallahassee.
Conyers then took on the role of assistant basketball coach and intramural director at Converse College in South Carolina before moving back to Tallahassee where she was responsible for guard development at Tallahassee Community College.
Prior to Motlow State, Conyers spent six seasons at South Georgia Technical College as an assistant coach. She also was a course instructor in interpersonal relations and professional development at SGTC. During her tenure, the Lady Jets won five GCAA Championships where they advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament while reaching the Elite Eight in 2015. The program also reached the Sweet Sixteen in three other seasons.
Starring for four seasons at ASU, Conyers still ranks among the program’s all-time leading scorers with over 1,200 career points. The 2003 Southern Conference Freshman of the Year, Conyers earned Second Team All-SoCon honors as a senior.

She also founded the Go Beyond Sports Network (GBSN), an organization for current and former athletes, coaches and administrators to share and connect while motiving athletes to have a plan for life after sports.
Conyers received her Master's degree in Recreation and Sport Sciences from Ohio University.
